Post Divorce Counseling Nationwide

Frequently Asked Questions: About Our Services

  • What are your fees?
Groups run for 8 weeks at a cost of $320. Each meeting is 90 minutes in length. The hourly fee for my divorce counseling is $180. Lower rates may apply for long-term and group counseling.

  • Will my insurance company pay?
You may be able to be reimbursed for counseling services by your health plan. That will depend on the type of plan you have. Upon request, statements of service -- which you can submit to your insurance company -- will be provided.

  • How do I pay for the service?
Payment can be made directly with a major credit card, or in advance by personal check.

  • What happens if I am unable to keep a scheduled appointment?
Hours are by appointment. In order to cancel an appointment and not be charged, 12 hours notice is required.

  • Will I be charged for an initial call?
There is no charge for the initial call.

  • Can I contact you between scheduled sessions?
Yes. Accessibility is an important feature of my service to you.

  • How long will the process of divorce counseling take?
The process is designed to be intensive and to provide speedy recovery. However, people heal and recover at different rates. Therefore, treatment time may vary from several weeks to several years.

  • Is it possible to have face-to-face counseling?
Yes. However, most clients find the results and advantages of teletherapy to equal or exceed face-to-face counseling.

  • Do you provide other services?
In addition to divorce counseling, I have extensive clinical experience in the following areas:

    • relationship concerns (work related and personal)
    • depression and anxiety
    • women's issues
    • aging and life transitions
    • second opinions on a psychological matter
